A cold desert at 3,800 m with 1,000-year-old monasteries, fossil villages and some of the clearest night skies in India.
High desert roads
Spiti Valley sits between Tibet and the Kullu valley. The classic circuit runs from Manali over Kunzum La to Kaza and back via Kinnaur, passing Key Monastery, Hikkim and Langza.
Roads can close with snow or landslides, so every itinerary here carries a buffer day. Altitude is the real challenge — we build acclimatisation into the plan.
